Johan Kaarlimäe (before 1935, he had the name and surname Johann Karlsberg ) (November 21, 1901– February 5, 1977) - an Estonian politician, known as a member of the government of Otto Tiif .

Biography
Born into the family of Carl Karlsberg (August 21, 1851– November 20, 1916) and Marie Calsbreg, nee Tõnnismann (August 4, 1860–1920?) [1] .
He was a volunteer at the Estonian War of Liberation . In 1922 he graduated from the Hugo Treffner High School . In 1922-1923 he studied at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Tartu, and from 1923 to 1935 at the Faculty of Law. He was a member of the Estonian Student Society .
Member of the I Assembly of the National Assembly in 1937 and member of the 1st Riigikogu (State Duma) in 1938-1940. On October 5, 1935, he was appointed head of the information department of the National Advocacy Service [2] . In addition to this, from 1936 to 1937 he was considered the chairman of the Estonian Telegraph Agency, and from 1937 to 1940 he was a foreman of Järvu county. Chairman of the Council of Omakaitse (Home Guard) of Järvamaa County (June 14, 1940) [3] . In 1938 he was awarded the Order of the White Star of 4 degrees.
Member of the Chamber of Agriculture (Põllutöökoda) of the 1st and 2nd convocations.
On September 18, 1944, Uri Uluots appointed him Minister without a Portfolio in the Government of Otto Tiif and Head of the Information Center. On December 9 of that year, he was arrested by the Soviet authorities in his house. Together with six other members of the government, including Otto Tiif, he was sent through a stage to Moscow, where in early July 1945 he was convicted by the military collegium of the Supreme Court under the chairmanship of Ulrich to 5 years in prison and 3 years of exile [4] . He returned to Estonia in 1954. He was arrested for the second time in 1969 and sentenced to a year in prison.
Johan Kaarlimäe died in a fire, being at that moment the last member of the government of Otto Tiif living in Estonia. He was buried in the Old Vändry cemetery .
