Biography
Born in 1964 in Bethune . At the 1987 World Cup, he won the bronze medal. In 1988, he won the gold medal of the Olympic Games in Seoul in the team championship, and in the individual competition he became 17th. In 1990 and 1991 he became the silver medalist of the World Cup. In 1992, he won the gold medal of the Olympic Games in Barcelona . In 1993, he again became the silver medalist of the World Cup. At the 1994 World Cup he won the gold medal. In 1995, he won the gold and silver medals of the World Cup. In 1996, he won the bronze medal of the Atlanta Olympic Games in the team championship, and became the 9th in the individual competition. In 1997, he again became the world champion. In 1998, he won the silver medal of the World Cup and the silver medal of the European Championship. In 1999, he won the gold medal of the World Cup and the silver medal of the European Championship. In 2000, he won the silver medal of the Sydney Olympic Games in the team championship, and became the 7th in the individual competition.
