History

The village of Luzhitsa is mentioned on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 [2] .

LUZHYTSY - the village belongs to the Office of the Pavlovsk city government, the number of residents by audit: 61 m. P., 70. p. [3] (1838)

In the XIX - early XX century, the village administratively belonged to the Staropolskaya volost of the 2nd district of the 1st camp of the Gdovsky district of the St. Petersburg province.

According to the Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province of 1905, the village formed the Luzhetskoye rural society [6] .

According to the map of the Petrograd and Estland provinces of 1919, the village was called Luzhitsa [7] .

From January to February 1917 the village was part of the Konstantinovsky parish Gdovskogo County.

From 1917 to 1924, as part of the Zastoronsky Village Council of the Dojolo Volost.

From 1924 to 1927, as part of the village council Zayatskovskogo.

Since February 1927, as part of the Vyskatskoy parish.

Since August 1927, as part of the Rudny District .

Since 1928, as part of the Lusatia Village Council. In 1928, the village’s population was 147 people.

Since 1933, as part of the Osminsky district [8] .

According to the data of 1933, the village of Luzhitsy was part of the Luzhetskaya Village Council of the Rudnensky District [9] .

From August 1, 1941 to January 31, 1944, the German occupation.

Since 1961, as part of the Luzhitsky Village Council of the Slantsy District.

Since 1963, as part of the Luzhitsky Village Council of Kingisepp District .

As of August 1, 1965, the village of Lusatia was part of the Novoselsky Village Council of the Kingisepp District [10] . Since November 1965, again in the Novoselsky village council of the Slantsy district. In 1965, the village had a population of 50 [8] .

According to the data of 1973, the village was called Luzhitsa and was part of the Novoselsky Village Council of the Slantsy District [11] .

According to the 1990 data, the village was called Luzhitsy and was also part of the Novoselsky village council of the Slantsy district [12] .

In 1997, 11 people lived in the village of Luzhitsy, Novoselskaya volost, in 2002 - 35 people (91% of Russians) [13] [14] .

In 2007 and 2010, 3 people lived in the village of Luzhitsy at Novoselsky SP [15] [16] .

Geography

The village is located in the southeastern part of the district on the 41K-020 road ( Sizhno - Budilovo - Osmino ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 12 km [15] .

The distance to the nearest railway platform Slantsy is 45 km [10] .

The village is located on the northern shore of Lake Lusatia.
