History

Ufa College of Arts was founded in 1921 as the "Bashkir Music College."

Since 1926, the Bashkir State College of Arts, reorganized in 1936 into two independent secondary schools: the Ufa Music and Theater and Art Schools.

During the Great Patriotic War, the theater and art school was closed, reopened in 1960 and after its merger with the Ufa College of Music received its modern name.

The first director was Ivan Vasilyevich Saltykov ( 1921 - 1928 ).

In the Ufa College of Arts [1] (2012) there are two departments (music and art), the training is carried out in the following specialties: musical sound-mastery, musical pop art (by type: instruments of pop orchestra and pop singing); theory of music, painting (easel); sculpture; design (in the field of culture and art); arts and crafts and folk crafts (in appearance: woodcarving); instrumental performance (by type of instrument: piano, orchestral string instruments, orchestral wind and percussion instruments, folk orchestra instruments, national instruments of the peoples of Russia); vocal art and choral conducting.

There is a large acoustic Concert Hall with 600 seats, an art gallery, a small hall with 188 seats, a sports complex with a hall for game sports (basketball, volleyball, etc.), showers and changing rooms, a dining room for 80 seats, a student cafe with 50 seats .

Graduates are assigned the qualifications:

  • artist of a choir, ensemble, orchestra;
  • creative team leader
  • accompanist;
  • painter,
  • sculptor,
  • designer,
  • woodcarving artist,
  • sound engineer.

In the 2011/2012 academic year, 600 students were trained, 180 teachers in the state, of which 36 people were awarded honorary titles.

By 2012, the school has trained more than 10 thousand specialists.
