Porez is the household name for a shallow and small cut wound : damage to the skin and (sometimes) subcutaneous tissue resulting from careless handling of cutting objects, or deliberately using them to cause damage. In most domestic conditions, cuts are made with knives, razor blades, shards of glass and the edges of sheets of paper.
Shallow cuts do not pose a risk to human health. When they are received, it is necessary to wash the wound and for some time protect it from contact with the external environment to prevent suppuration . For treatment, water-based ointments and solutions are used, for example, levomekol , or dressings with antiseptic solutions ( chlorhexidine , octenidine , etc.). Bakelite-phenolic glue is also used. The purpose of applying these substances is to isolate damaged tissue from the external environment and accelerate cell regeneration . An uninsulated cut can lead to infection if the infection is in the blood.
In case of deep (multiple) cuts, you should consult a doctor: nerves, tendons, etc., may be damaged, which may require urgent surgery .
