The Museum of E. A. Boratynsky is a literary museum, a cultural institution of the city of Kazan.

The museum organizes and conducts a large cultural and educational work, among the events - "Christmas in the Boratynsky's house", spring "Literary readings in the Baratynskyi estate"; May “Museum Night”, summer Pushkin’s Day of Russia, city sobriety festival “Autumn Pointe”, school programs “Tales of Uncle Goose Feather” and poetry programs for high school students; meetings of the "Club of lovers of Kazan antiquities", programs from the series "Music of the White Hall", "Poetry Theater of Alexei Gomazkov" of Russian classical poetry of the 18th – 20th centuries.

Exposition
The museum’s exposition is dedicated to the life and work of the Russian poet Yevgeny Abramovich Boratynsky (1800-1844) and his descendants, its basis was the family archive. In the halls of the museum are presented lifetime editions and personal belongings of E. A. Boratynsky; etchings by V. A. Zhukovsky , works by N. I. Feshin , N. M. Sapozhnikova , A. I. Fomin, A. A. Boratynsky, a unique lifetime portrait of L. N. Tolstoy; intravital portrait of the poet’s younger brother - Kazan governor Irakli Boratynsky (1802-1859); a desk at which, according to family tradition, Alexander Pushkin , who was in Kazan in September 1833, may have written; family photos of the Boratynsky.
History
The museum occupies a recreated ancient city noble estate, owned by three generations of the descendants of the poet Boratynsky, who lived here from 1869 to 1918.
The opening of the museum took place on March 21, 1977. It was originally opened as a museum of Kazan secondary school No. 34. The initiator of the museum was Vera Georgievna Zagvozkina (1924-1994). In 1981, the museum received state status.
In 1991, the museum was located in the western wing of the Boratynsky city estate; in 2009, the main manor house was transferred to the operational management of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan . From May 2012 to September 2015, the museum underwent restoration work [1] .
