The Richard Dawkins Award ( born Richard Dawkins Award ) is an annual award presented by the Atheist Alliance of America to individuals who, in his opinion, have raised the public consciousness of atheism [1] . The award has been awarded since 2003 and is named after Richard Dawkins , an English evolutionary biologist who in 2013 was named the best thinker in the world [2] .
