Alexander Lvovich Leiviman (born January 29, 1949 in Chernivtsi ) is a Russian businessman who has made a fortune in telecommunications, real estate and finance; Head of Media, AFK Sistema . He was on the list of the richest businessmen in Russia in 2005 .

Biography
Alexander Leiviman was born on January 29, 1949 in Chernivtsi. In 1972 he graduated from the Moscow Chemical-Technological Institute named after Mendeleev [1] , with education as a process engineer. In 1972-1973 he was deputy head of the Mosbytkhim workshop, in 1975-1977 he worked as a senior researcher at the Institute for Research and Design Institute in the field of labor protection and environmental protection in the building materials industry in Novorossiysk (NIPIOTSTROM). In 1978-1992 he was a leading engineer at the Design Bureau of the University of Chernivtsi , chief engineer, deputy director of the Chernivtsi Chemical Plant. Since 1992 - Deputy General Director of the Innovation Fund of the Moscow City Hall [2] .
He has been working at AFK Sistema since 1993, from that moment the growth of businessman’s assets began, which, according to some sources, is due to university friend Vladimir Yevtushenkov [3] . In 1996-1997 he headed the Sistema-Invest JSC, in 1997-1999 - the Intourist VAO [4] . In 1997, he headed the financial and investment committee of AFK Sistema. In 1999 to 2002, he was First Vice President of AFK Sistema, and led the financial and investment complex. While working at AFK Sistema, he developed and put into practice a development strategy for the financial and investment complex of the corporation; in 2000, on his initiative, American depositary shares of Mobile TeleSystems were placed on the New York Stock Exchange . In 2003, he became the General Director of Sistema Mass Media OJSC [5] (manages such subsidiaries as the newspaper Metro, Rossiya, Literaturnaya Gazeta, Sistema Multimedia, Cosmos TV, and the Agency Maxim ") [6] . The last decision was made in connection with the great prospect of the telecommunications sector. It was planned to launch interactive television [2] .
In 2010, the “System of Mass Media” Alexandra Leivimana appealed to the Moscow Arbitration Court with a lawsuit against the online store Video.ru. The SMM demanded more than 24 million rubles for unauthorized posting on the website of offers to sell 12 episodes of the Brothers Detectives television movie owned by World Russian Studios , which is part of the SMM. The price of the lawsuit was a record for disputes over copyright infringement by content distributors [7] .
In early 2011, Alexander Leiviman acquired the French company Alexander company , registered in Cannes . In April of the same year, he, along with his son Vladimir, became the owner of the Swiss management company Atlant Capital SA , this project was planned as a family investment business [8] .
Alexander Leiviman received patents for more than 40 inventions (in particular, “Fire-retardant intumescent composition”, “Method for filtering liquids”, “Polishing paste”, etc.) [9] , published 16 scientific papers, is an academician of the International Academy of Informatization [2] . There is information about Leiviman's membership in the Moscow English Club of Freemasons [10] .
Alexander Leiviman is a shareholder of AFK Sistema: until 2005, he, along with the president of the company Evgeny Novitsky , owned 4.8% of its shares [11] .
