Radik Mintimerovich Shaimiev (born November 14, 1964 in Kazan ) is a Russian entrepreneur, the son of the first president of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev . One of the main shareholders of the TAIF group. For the first time he was on the list of the richest businessmen in Russia in 2005 .

Biography
Radik Shaimiev was born on November 14, 1964 in Kazan (according to other sources - in Menzelinsk ). Father Mintimer Shaimiev is the first president of the Republic of Tatarstan . During his reign, TAIF became a shareholder in the largest enterprises in the region. The elder brother, Airat, is also engaged in business, is the general director of Tatavtodor, one of the largest enterprises in the road industry of Tatarstan. Shaimiev studied at the school of physics and mathematics No. 131, loved algebra, geometry, physics and drawing. In childhood, he played football at Mayakovsky's club, in the sixth grade he played for the city championship. However, later the boy showed heart problems, the sport had to be quit [1] .
In 1982-1984 he served in the Marine Corps in Vladivostok . In 1989 he graduated from the Kazan Civil Engineering Institute , where he entered before the army. Since 1989, he worked as an engineer in the architectural and planning workshop No. 2 of the Research Institute "Kazgrazhdanproekt". In 1990-1992 he was Deputy General Director of the Kazan Research and Production Center of the Foreign Trade Association. In 1992, together with the Austrian businessman Nikolai Koprovitsa, he founded Nira-Export LLC, became its director. The company was engaged in the sale of furniture, shoes and food. In the same year, he began working in the investment company TAIF OJSC, which at that time was engaged in the sale of products, tobacco products and textiles [2] . In 1996, Shaimiev became the chief adviser to the general director of the company. In 1998, he joined the Board of Directors of OAO TATNEFT [3] . Radik Shaimiev also controls a 26.43% stake in Avers Bank, which at the end of 2014 received a record profit of 1.57 billion rubles for itself, increasing it more than twice. Indirectly owns the five-star Mirage hotel in the center of Kazan [4] .
Engaged in motorsport, international master of sports of Russia . In 2003, he won the European Autocross Championship in the passenger car class, and his brother Airat was the main rival in the fight for the title [5] . He regularly participates in classic rally competitions, in particular, in the championships of Estonia , Latvia , Finland , at the stages of the world championships , including in 2018 [6] [7] .
In 2004, he was awarded the silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts for authorship of the creation in Kazan of the largest in the region cultural and entertainment center " Pyramid " [8] .
In May 2017, he was appointed president of the Rubin football club [9] . The proposal to become president of the club Shaimiev was received back in 2015, but then he refused. After his appointment as a coach, it was proposed to return to Kurban Berdyev . It is planned to build a new club base [1] .
Since 2005, it has been included in the Forbes magazine’s rating of “200 Richest Businessmen of Russia”. In 2017, he took 89th place in this rating with a capital of 1.1 billion dollars.
The first time he married right after returning from the army, but the marriage did not last long. He later married a second time, from his second wife there are two children.
In 2009, Kamil’s daughter came to work in AFK Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov , where for five years she rose from the position of business analyst to investment director, was a member of the TAIF board of directors in 2013-2014 [10] . She is currently a member of the board of directors of the SG-trans railway operator for the transportation of oil and gas and petrochemical goods.
