“With Us” ( French: Chez nous ) is a Belgian-French drama film of 2017 directed by Luc Belvo . The world premiere of the film took place on January 30, 2017 at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. In 2018, the tape was nominated in 7 nominations for the Belgian national film award “Magritte” [2] [3] and received an award for Best Actress [4] .

Story
Pauline is a vocation nurse. She likes her own profession, she always dreamed of helping people; patients respond with gratitude to her, however, since the overwhelming majority of them are elderly people, there are days filled with grief in her life. That is how her last Monday began. Pauline went to check how one of her wards lives, but upon entering the house she was very surprised at the silence. Pauline found an old woman on the bed, but, unfortunately, already lifeless. Having cried a little, the woman gathered her strength and reported the incident to the hospital and the police.
The following week, the head doctor invited Pauline to his office to discuss an important issue, but then began a conversation on the topic of politics. The nurse said she had little interest in this issue, and already forgot when she voted for the last time. The doctor continued to develop this topic, adding that he could put in a word for Polina in front of several influential people if she agreed to nominate her candidacy for the municipality. At first, Pauline refused, saying that she did not see herself as a politician, but later promised to think about the proposal. Returning home, the nurse began to look at the latest news that related to the political life of the country, and then talked with her best friend about what the doctor told her. Pauline told her friend that even if she agreed to take part in the elections, she would have to look for someone who would look after her children, as well as an elderly father, who should be constantly monitored. To this, the girlfriend replied that Pauline needs to agree to the proposal, and she will help her deal with problems.
