Kornyakov, Alexander Fedorovich

Alexander Fedorovich Kornyakov (b. 04.02.1931) - Russian weapons designer, project chief designer and executive officer of the first Soviet 30-mm automatic launcher AGS-17 Flame.

He graduated from the Moscow Air Force special school and the Riga Red Banner Higher Air Force Engineering School with a degree in mechanical engineer in aviation weapons (1955). For some time he served in the Kuril Islands as an engineer in an air regiment for armaments.

In 1956 he was transferred to OKB-16 (now the KBTochmash named after A.E. Nudelman). He worked in positions from a design engineer to the chief designer of the project.

A participant in the creation and direct developer of many new weapons.

The chief designer of the first Soviet automatic easel grenade launcher AGS-17 "Flame", adopted for service in 1971.

Received 98 copyright certificates issued on the subject of KBtochmash.

Since 1998, retired.
