Belotserkovsky, Boris Grigorievich

Boris Grigorievich Belotserkovsky (born June 22, 1954 in Leningrad ) is a Russian businessman, owner of the largest Russian vending operator, Yuvenko. President of the National Automated Trading Association. He was on the list of the richest businessmen in Russia in 2005 .

Biography

Boris was born in 1954 into a Jewish family. Father Grigory Bentsionovich Belotserkovsky was a scientist, wrote textbooks on radio engineering (he died when Boris was 28 years old), and his mother worked as a doctor, head of the department in the hospital [1] . In childhood, Boris was well developed logical thinking. He studied at school number 209, was interested in modern technologies and issues of technological progress.

After school, Boris Belotserkovsky wanted to go to medical school, but was not sure of his chances, so he chose the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation . After graduating from the institute in 1978, Belotserkovsky got a job in the technical department at the Selkhoztehnika association. There he was responsible for setting up working computing equipment.

Two years later, Boris found a job in production, where he was engaged in the production of candles for holiday cakes. Belotserkovsky combined this work with the sale of computer equipment.

Belotserkovsky tried to independently get an education in business administration. He worked with a tutor three times a week. So he gained an understanding of financial reporting and marketing [2] .

In the first half of 1987, a variety of slot machines began to gain popularity in the USSR . Belotserkovsky, along with his comrades, began supplying Swedish-made gaming machines to the USSR. He himself held the position of Director of Marketing at this enterprise.

Belotserkovsky considered gambling a promising business, until 1990 he managed to get a loan in one of Leningrad banks in the amount of 1 million rubles. With this money, Belotserkovsky founded his own company, Unicum, which also supplied gaming equipment. The company developed relatively quickly, paid off and began to bring consistently high profits. Belotserkovsky himself, being the sole owner of the company, held the post of president in it.

By 2000, Belotserkovsky opened his own publishing house, Sobaka.ru , which he registered with his wife. In early 2007, the company’s assets grew significantly, and it acquired a pair of popular Internet portals for a female audience.

Belotserkovsky, along with Oleg Boyko, was a co-owner of the holding Ritzio Entertainment Group , under the management of which were the casinos "Volcano", "Desperado" and "Million". In addition, holding supermarkets, pubs and grill bars were opened in some regions of Russia [3] .

After the ban on gambling in Russia in 2009, Unicum changed its field of activity, becoming a seller of vending machines. And Belotserkovsky himself reoriented to the company Yuvenko (servicing vending equipment), and later acquired 53.7% of the British vending operator SnackTime . Also among its assets are Inflight Entertainment (87%) and Bonus Advisor [4] .

Belotserkovsky is the president of the National Association of Automated Trading, and in November 2017 he also became a member of the executive committee of the European Vending Association [5] .

Boris Belotserkovsky is trying to hide his personal life from the press. The businessman was married four times. From his first wife he has two sons. He is currently married to Veronica Belotserkovskaya . Before meeting with Belotserkovsky she had already been married several times, she has a son from the artist Jan Antonyshev .

Shortly after the wedding, the Belotserkovsky had two more sons. The family does not get together very often, since Boris’s wife and children live in France . In turn, Belotserkovsky spends most of his time in Moscow , where he does business. The eldest son of Boris Belotserkovsky is already independently engaged in a business related to mobile applications, married [6] .

In September 2017, relations between Veronika and Boris Belotserkovsky worsened and at the end of the year information began to appear in the press about the couple’s divorce after 17 years of marriage [7] .
