Sorong ( Indonesia. Kabupaten Sorong ) is a district of the province of West Papua in Indonesia [1] . It covers an area of 7,415.29 km and has a population of 70,619 people according to the 2010 census; The latest official estimate (as of January 2014) is 81,486 people [2] . Its administrative center is the city of Aimas . Sorong district includes the city of the same name - the municipality (Kota), which does not depend on it; There is an airport in the city of Sorong City, which also serves the entire county [3] .
