Description
Butterflies are small in size. Wingspan of representatives of the genus 22-30 mm. The wings on the upper side are dark brown or dark brown with a light fringe. The postdiscal row of light translucent spots on the fore wings is continuous. The hind wings on the upper side are usually devoid of a pattern. The front wings are always with translucent spots that form a postdiscal band. The underside of the hind wings with a pattern that is formed by light veins and white or yellow spots [1] .
Butterflies are confined to grassy slopes with rock outcrops, sparse forests, meadow landscapes, light forests.
Systematics
The genus includes about 18 species, common in East and Southeast Asia [1] . 1 species ( Aeromachus inachus ) lives on the territory of Russia [1] .
