Biography
From the hereditary nobles of the Chernigov province. The son of the Novgorod-Seversky provincial leader of the nobility Peter Ivanovich Borozdna (1765-1820) from his second marriage. Brothers - Vasily and Ivan . Landowner of Surazh Uyezd (2,320 dessiatines in 1874).
From 1818 he was brought up at the Moscow University Noble Guesthouse , from where on April 10, 1826 he was graduated with the rank of 14th grade . From December 6, 1826 he served in the economic department of the Ministry of the Interior . From August 2, 1827 to September 30, 1828 he was a member of the Audit Commission in Ryazan. On October 12, 1829, he was sent to the Simferopol Boundary Commission, and on April 15, 1830, he was the capital head. July 4, 1830 dismissed from service.
From January 22, 1832 to April 23, 1835 he was an honorary superintendent of the Novozybkovsky district school . From November 12, 1838 he was elected by the Novozybkov district leader of the nobility, and from July 11, 1848, by the Chernigov provincial leader of the nobility. On August 30, 1856 he received the rank of full state councilor . On September 24, 1862, he was appointed correcting the position of Smolensk governor , and on June 21, 1863, he was approved in the post, which he held until February 12, 1871. In 1870 he was elected honorary citizen of Smolensk . In addition, he was an honorary magistrate of Surazh district (1874).
He died in 1878 in St. Petersburg. He was married to Elizabeth Mikhailovna Miklashevskaya (d. 1886), the daughter of Senator M.P. Miklashevsky .
In 2015, a monument to N.P. Borozdne, who built the local Assumption Church, was erected in the village of Kivai, Klintsovsky District, Bryansk Region.
