The resource for the operation of the hydroelectric power station comes from the Valabres station located higher in the valley, supplemented by the road from the water intake to Vioneine (the right tributary of the Tignes ).
The machine room, originally equipped with five Pelton turbines in 1929, was reequipped in 1954 with two Francis turbines with a total capacity of 52 MW, which, with a pressure of 315 meters, produce 250 million kWh of electricity per year. [1] [2]
Waste water is sent to the lower balancing tank, from where, replenished from the water intake at Tignes , it is sent to the Courbaisse-Egleros hydroelectric power station .
