Ilya Falkovsky (born 1972 , Moscow ) is a Russian writer, publicist and artist, ideologist of the creative group PG . Winner of the Kandinsky Prize in the nomination "Media Art" (as part of the PG Group). Columnist of the magazine "Artchronika" . Biography
Grandson of the artist A.P. Falkovsky . Since 1996, published as the author of short stories [1] and philologist [2] . Since 1998, the editor of the almanac "PG". The author of the texts of the first musical album of the PG group “Rap-2000”, according to the Afisha magazine, which is included in the 16 main albums of Russian underground rap [3] . In the album, the future vocalist of the band “Krovostok” Shilo first declared himself as a rap artist. In 2000-2002 participant in the movement "new drama" [4] and the theater festival "Lyubimovka" [5] . Attention of critics noted his plays “Tuva - a country which does not exist” [6] and “Fishing” [7] . The play “Fishing” was shown at the Royal Court Theater (London) as part of the International Playwrights festival (translated into English by A. Dugdale) [8] . In 2003, the first personal exhibition of the PG Group took place in the new State Tretyakov Gallery building on the Crimean Bridge. In 2004-2014. publishes a number of books in the genre of "documentary literature" on contemporary Russian radicalism. The book “Silent killings” fell into the “Critic's Choice” of the newspaper Kommersant [9] . Since 2014, lives in China, publishes prose and articles on Russian-Chinese cultural ties [10] [11] . In 2018, the presentation of the book “Volodya, Vasya and others: the stories of old Chinese intellectuals told by themselves” took place at the Russian national stand of the Beijing International Book Fair [12] .
