Kleiton Conseisan ( port. -Braz . Cleiton Conceição ; genus. November 1, 1979 , Cruz-daz-Almas ) - Brazilian boxer , a representative of the average, light heavyweight and heavy weight categories. He played for the Brazilian boxing team in the late 1990s - early 2000s, a participant in the summer Olympic Games in Sydney , a three-time Brazilian amateur champion. Biography
Clayton Conseisan was born on November 1, 1979 in the municipality of Cruz daz Almas , Bahia State, Brazil . He started boxing at the age of 11 in the local section, then moved permanently to São Paulo , where he was trained at the Corinthians Boxing Academy.
Amateur career
First declared himself in 1998, having won the Brazilian Championship in the standings of the first middle weight category. Two years later, he won the Brazilian national championship again and successfully competed at the American Olympic qualification in Buenos Aires, where he defeated all his rivals in the tournament grid, including in the final decisive match, he gained the upper hand over Fulgencio Sunigoy of Colombia - thanks to this victory he was awarded the right to defend honor of the country at the summer Olympic Games in Sydney in the category up to 75 kg. However, at the Games already in the first battle was stopped by American Jeff Lacy .
After the Sydney Olympics, Conseysan remained in the main Brazil boxing team and continued to take part in major international tournaments. So, in 2001, he visited the World Championships in Belfast , where in the 1/16 finals Finnish Jani Rauhal was defeated. In 2002, he won the Brazilian national boxing championship for the third time. Repeatedly participated in international tournaments "Giraldo Cordova Cardin" in Cuba [1] .
Professional career
In 2003 he completed a career in the national team and made his debut at the professional level. In subsequent years, with varying success regularly entered the ring, won the title of champion of Central America according to the World Boxing Association , was a contender in several other championship fights.
I met at a professional level with such famous boxers as Laudelin Barrus , Victor Emilio Ramirez , Shaun Monahan , Alexander Gvodik , Dmitry Bivol , although he lost to all of them.
