Sergey Mikhailovich Grigorkin (born November 12, 1952 , Chelyabinsk ) is a Soviet and Russian hockey coach, teacher, scout, and former hockey player who has played the defense position. Honored coach of Russia .

Biography
Sergei Mikhailovich Grigorkin was born on November 12, 1952 in Chelyabinsk. Pupil of the CTZ Sports Club, coach - P. V. Dubrovin.
From 1970 to 1975 Grigorkin played for the Chelyabinsk hockey club " Tractor ", then from 1975 to 1978 - for " Metallurg ". Master of Sports of the USSR [1] [2] [3] .
In 1971, as a member of the USSR junior team, he became the champion of Europe .
In 1975 he graduated from the Chelyabinsk branch of the Omsk State Institute of Physical Culture , and in 1983 - the Higher School of Trainers at the State Central Order of Lenin Institute of Physical Culture.
He worked as a coach in Metallurg Chelyabinsk (1979–1981), Metallurg (1983–1986) Sports School Junior School, Chelyabinsk ShVSM (1986–1990), Traktor (1990–1999) [4] , and Avangard (2003–2008) ) [5] [6] . He was the general manager of " Tractor " (1999-2000) and " Gazovik (Tyumen) " (2009-2010).
He was also a scout for the NHL teams Tampa Bay Lightning (2000–2002) and Nashville Predators (2002–2003), the KHL Central Scout Bureau (2011–2015) [7] .
Since 2013, he is an associate professor at the Department of Theory and Methodology of Hockey and Football of the Ural State University of Physical Culture [8] [9] .
During his coaching career, Grigorkin trained a large number of high-class athletes, including six world champions - Valery Karpov , Andrei Zuev , Andrei Sapozhnikov , Igor Varitsky , K. Astrakhantsev (all in 1993), Sergey Gomolyako (in 1989 among youth) .
