Content
Biography
In 1985 he graduated from the Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR . Until 1987, he worked in the production group of the architect Mazeikiai region . In 1987-1989 he worked at the Institute for the Restoration and Design of Monuments in Vilnius.
Since 1989 he has been teaching at the Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR (since 1990, the Vilnius Academy of Art ), since 2008 he has been the head of the Department of Architecture; professor ( 2007 ).
Since 1991 he has been working at NUMAS in Vilnius (project manager). In 2014 - 2017, he was chairman of the Lithuanian Architects Union [1] [2] .
Projects
The most important projects implemented in Vilnius:
- Church of the New Apostolic Church on Rasu Street (together with Vytautas Nasvitis ; 1994 ),
- the memorial to the victims of freedom of Lithuania at the Antokol cemetery (together with the architect Juras Balkevičius and sculptor Stanislovas Kuzma ; 1995 )
- St. Joseph Catholic Theological Seminary on Kalvariu Street (together with the architect Juras Balkevičius; 1997 ),
- Columbarium Tuskulenu (together with a group of co-authors; 2009 ),
- reconstruction of the educational building of Vilnius Academy of Arts (2009).
In addition, he designed the church and parish house in Pabrada (together with Juras Balkevičius and Arturas Burba; 2007) [1] .
