Zakharchenko, Igor Grigorievich

Igor G. Zakharchenko was born on December 26, 1941 in the city of Kuibyshev (Samara).

In 1963 he graduated from the Physical Faculty of the Odessa I. Mechnikov State University , in 1968 - the postgraduate course of the KD Ushinsky Odessa State Pedagogical Institute . In 1970 he defended his thesis "Studies of elastic anisotropy and texture of sheet titanium" for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. In 1975 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor , and in 1992 - the academic title of professor of the department of physics.

From 1969 to 2017 he taught at the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after KD Ushinsky. In 1972-1975 he headed the department of physics, in 1974-1975 he was dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. In 1975–2015 (40 years old) he worked as a vice-rector for scientific work. He made an enormous contribution to the training of highly qualified pedagogical personnel (there were opened: doctoral studies , specialized academic councils for the defense of master's and doctoral dissertations in pedagogy , psychology , philosophy , and political science ), to the development of university science.

Author of more than 90 scientific publications.

He died on April 17, 2017 in Odessa, and was buried at the Novogorodskoye (Tairovsky) cemetery .
