History
The enterprise was created by the decision of the Crimean Oblast Executive Committee No. 337 of May 9, 1959 to manage the operation of trolleybuses on the long-distance highway Simferopol-Alushta-Yalta. Simultaneously with the construction of the intercity highway, trolleybus lines were built in Simferopol. Initially, the company was called "Crimean Trolleybus Management" .
In 1965, the company mastered the tram transportation, as the tram management was abolished as an independent and attached to the trolleybus. The company became known as the Crimean Tram-Trolleybus Office .
In 1970, after the closure of the tramway , the company received a new name “Crimetrolleybus” .
In the 70-80 years, during the holiday season, the trolleybus intervals on the Simferopol - Alushta highway averaged 2 minutes. During these years, for the convenience of passengers, tickets for trolleybuses to Alushta and Yalta were sold together with train tickets to Simferopol at the railway ticket offices of large cities of the Soviet Union: Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev, Minsk, Kharkov, Riga and Vilnius, and trolleybuses are sent not only from train station but also from the airport .
The mid-90s turned out to be difficult for Krymtrolleybus: insufficient funding, half of the fleet worn out, replacement of rolling stock required .
In 2006, the Krymtrolleybus enterprise became the property of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The year 2009 was particularly difficult, the enterprise was declared bankrupt and it was on the verge of closure, many routes were closed. Trolleybus output per line was low .
2010 opened a new history of the Crimetrolleybus enterprise. New trolleybuses began to arrive, new routes began to open. To improve the work in favor of trolleybuses, most minibuses were removed from the center of Simferopol .
February 3, 2017 SUE RK Krymtrolleybus received KavZ-4238 buses, and discovered a new type of transportation .
For the entire life span of an enterprise 55 years long. there were ups and downs, but nevertheless Krymtrolleybus survived and is still the leader in terms of passenger traffic in Crimea .
