Reasons for Assignment
The honorary title “Honored Worker of Communications and Information of the Russian Federation” is conferred on highly professional employees of communications, the media and mass communications for personal services:
- in the development and improvement of modern means of communication, means of transmitting and receiving information, based on the introduction of high-performance digital telecommunication equipment;
- in the development of the Russian media and mass communications;
- in creating socially significant projects in the field of mass media and mass communication that have received wide recognition of the public and the professional community;
- in the development and implementation of a fundamentally new highly efficient communication technology and new generation of communications, allowing to provide consumers with a wide range of telecommunication services;
- in the development and implementation of modern information technologies and engineering solutions used in the production and distribution of mass media;
- in improving the quality of telecommunication services to the population and organizations;
- in timely provision of the population and organizations with objective information;
- in the formation of an objective attitude to Russia abroad;
- in the training of qualified personnel for organizations operating in the field of communications, information, technology and mass communications.
The honorary title “Honored Worker of Communications and Information of the Russian Federation” is usually awarded no earlier than 20 years after the start of professional activity and if the person presented for the award has industry awards (incentives) of federal government bodies or public authorities of the Russian Federation Federation.
Assignment Procedure
Honorary titles of the Russian Federation are awarded by decrees of the President of the Russian Federation on the basis of submissions made to him following the consideration of the award application and the proposal of the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation for state awards .
Rank History
The honorary title “Honored Worker of Communications and Information of the Russian Federation” was established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of July 19, 2018 No. 437 “On some issues of the state award system of the Russian Federation” [1] .
The previous state award was the honorary title of Honored Telecommunications Worker of the Russian Federation , which was abolished during the establishment of the honorary title “Honored Telecommunications and Information Worker of the Russian Federation”.
Breastplate
The badge has a uniform form for the honorary titles of the Russian Federation and is made of silver 40 mm high and 30 mm wide. It has the shape of an oval wreath formed by laurel and oak branches. The ends of the branches crossed below are tied with a bow. On the top of the wreath is the State Emblem of the Russian Federation . On the front side, in the central part, a cartouche is inscribed on the wreath with the inscription - the name of the honorary title.
