Story
The film is based on the story of Voltaire " Candide, or Optimism " (1758). The story was moved to the 20th century, during the Second World War. Candida ( Jean-Pierre Cassel ), who passed through all the circles of hell, manages to maintain a love for the beautiful Kunigunda.
