Biography
Born on September 7, 1927 at the Malaya Kamenka farm in the Rostov Region .
He began his studies at the Voroshilovgrad Art College, which he graduated in 1949 . Having entered VGIK, he studied under F.S. Bogorodsky , Yu. I. Pimenov , G. M. Shegal . In 1955 he graduated from VGIK (workshop of A. Dikhtyar), made his film debut as a student [1] at the invitation of Alexander Dovzhenko in 1958 with the film " Poem on the Sea " [1] . He worked at Mosfilm with George Danelia , Alexander Zarhi , Eldar Ryazanov [2] , Sergey Solovyov [1] , Igor Talankin . He also worked in the theater.
Since 1973 - a teacher at the art department of VGIK, in 1986 he typed his first workshop, professor (1993).
He died on March 10, 2017 in Moscow, where he lived and worked for a long time. He was buried on March 14 at the Troekurovsky cemetery [3] .
