Biography

Alexander Vasilievich Aseev was born on August 7, 1856 in the village of Rasskazovo, Tambov district . He helped his father manage the cloth factory, which was located in the Kuznetsk district of the Saratov province . After the death of his father, he became the owner of this factory, and near it built the Aseevskaya railway station [1] .

At the end of the 1870s, the annual output at the factory was about 125 thousand arshins of coarse cloth [2] .

In the 1880s, the factory was modernized. Wooden cases were replaced by brick ones. In 1881, the factory employed 375 people, the annual production of cloth was equal to 99 thousand arshins . Merchant Alexander Aseev traded cloth from warehouses in Kharkov , Moscow , Penza , Poltava and Kiev provinces [1] .

In 1890, he became a merchant of the 1st guild. In 1894 he received the Order of St. Anne of the third degree. In 1898 he became a hereditary honorary citizen [1] .

In 1901, Alexander Aseev at his factory organized the work of a new steam engine with 325 horsepower [2] .

In 1903, Alexander Aseev became a co-owner of a water mill and a brick factory on the territory of the Serdobsky district of the Saratov province, later acquired the estate of the princes Kurakin in the Serdobsky district of the Saratov province [1] .

In 1905, he became the owner of the stationery factory "Commercial and industrial partnerships on the shares of V. P. Sergeev" in Penza [1] .

In the same year, his first factory made the transition from manual to mechanical weaving [2] .

From 1909 to 1912, he was a co-owner of the Kostobobrovsky sugar beet factory in the Novgorod-Seversky district of the Chernigov province . Alexander Aseev was a large landowner - at his disposal were thousands of acres of land, among them 2375 acres of land Gorodishchensky district of the Penza province [1] .

He created two hospitals that worked at his factories, in each of which 25 people could be treated at the same time. During World War I , they contained three infirmaries for warriors. Alexander Aseev allocated 150 thousand rubles for the creation of the Seraphim refuge-infirmary in Tsarskoye Selo [1] . In wartime, the factory of Alexander Aseev was engaged in the development of soldiers' bitches; during the year of work, 44 349 pieces of 2 684 044 arshins were sent to the army.

The wife of Alexander Aseev was Lidia Nikolaevna Kryuchenkova, who died in 1902. Alexander Aseev had six children. After the revolution, they emigrated to Europe and North America [1] . Alexander Aseev died in 1920 [1] .
