Biography

Joseph-Gaspard Tachet de la Pageri was born in the city of Carbé, Martinique. The ancestors of the boy came to Martinique in 1726, from France. Joseph Gaspard served as artillery lieutenant of the Royal Navy under King Louis XV. He soon received the title of Knight of Saint-Nicaise. In Trois-леle, the father left an inheritance to his second son, Joseph Gaspard, the ancestral estate of La Pagérie, fifty Negro slaves, sugar and tea plantations, and the title of sugar and tea planter, as well as Senor Tache. The planter himself, having arrived in Troyes-леle, hoped to find happiness, but he did not find happiness. In November 1761, in 1761, the planter married the representative of the most brilliant family in Martinique - Rose de Claire de Verger de Sannois. Three daughters were born in marriage

I. Marie Roses Joseph Tachet de la Pageri, born in 1763 in La Pazeri in June 1763 and died on May 29 in 1814, in Malmaison. The first Empress of France and the wife of Napoleon I.

II. Catherine Desiree (1764-1778). The shortest of the three sisters. Was the first bride of Alexander de Beauharnais, but since Catherine died in 1778, Rosa became the official wife of the Viscount de Beauharnais.

III. Marie-Francoise (1766-1790). The planter named her after his mother, Marie-Francoise-Rose. Marie died in the same year as her father - in 1790, too, as a result of the Great French Revolution.

Joseph-Gaspard died in 1790 on June 6, in Troyes-Ile, as a result of the Revolution. Do not think that the lord has remained faithful to his wife. Josephine, when she became Empress, recall the hobbies of her father. She will have to recognize the mulatto sister, the illegitimate daughter of Joseph Gaspard, from a courtesan from Fort de France.
