Tsei glacier ( Osset. Ts Цyy tsiti ) is a valley glacier on the northern slope of the Greater Caucasus , one of the largest and lowest descending glaciers of the Caucasus .

The Tsey Glacier originates in the vast snow and firn fields that cover the entire northern part of the Adai-Khokh massif.
The Tsei Glacier is located in North Ossetia and feeds mainly on the snow of the Adai-Khokh mountain (4,408 m). The Tseysky glacier descends to an altitude of 2,200 m above sea level , that is, below the vast majority of the glaciers of the Caucasus. Its length, together with firn fields, is about 9 km, an area of 9.7 km². At the very bottom, it is quite narrow, and above it expands greatly, reaching 1 km in width. Cramped by cliffs at an altitude of 2,500 m above sea level, it forms countless cracks and has several ice falls , above which its surface becomes again more even.
The Tsei glacier is formed from 2 large and 2 smaller branches. [1] A beautiful river Tseya ( Ceydon ) flows from the ice arch of the Tsey Glacier, which flows from west to east through a deep gorge, picturesque and covered with pine forest . It falls into Ardon on the left side.
Climbing camps and the Ossetia camp site , the scientific station SKGMI and the weather station, as well as the Goryanka Hotel (now destroyed, the building is in disrepair, plundered, cannot be restored) are located near the Tseiskiy glacier. Two cable cars are laid to the glacier. Mountain-climatic resort area - Tsey . [2]
