Biography
Igor Anatolyevich Karpov was born on August 8, 1973 in Saratov [1] . He started playing volleyball in 1985.
He played for the teams Dynamo (1993-1994, 2001-2003), Lada / Energetik (1994-2000), Ugoria-Torum (2000-2001), Iskra (2003-2004, 2005-2006) , MSTU (2004-2005), Dynamo Amber (2006-2007).
Two-time bronze medalist of the championship of Russia (2002, 2006). Participant in the quarterfinals of the 2003 European Cup [2] .
He completed his playing career in 2007, after which he began to work as a coach.
On July 30, 2018, he was appointed head coach of the Proton Women's Volleyball Club [3] . Under his leadership, the team took third place in the tournament named after Lydia Loginova in Kazan [4] . September 18 left his post, remaining a coach in the club system [5] .
Personal life
Married. On May 8, 2003, his wife Tatyana gave birth to three daughters - Tatyana, Julia and Victoria [6] .
