Career

After playing in the Crystal Palace youth team in 1980-81, Gray went to soccer outside the league, namely Corinthian Cashews and Dalwich Hamlet, where he was noticed by Crystal Palace manager Steve Koppell and again invited to the team. Gray moved to the Palace and quickly became the main player in the team, playing in attacking positions. In the 1985/86 season, Gray scored 11 goals. However, after the signing of Ian Wright and Mark Bright, Gray moved to center field, and his game at the club faded. Then Gray moved to Aston Villa , achieved promotion with the club, and after leaving Villa spent a short period in Queens Park Rangers . However, in 1989 Andy returned to Crystal Palace for the third time [1] .
