Biography

Born January 18, 1992 in the Georgian city of Rustavi . In 2001, he moved with his family to Germany, to the city of Galle . From there, the family moved to Hanover , and then to Augsburg [1] .

Club career

He started playing football in his native Metallurg (the first coach was Tamaz Dodashvili), then he studied at Rustavi 2000 . Having left for Germany, he studied at the Galle 67 school [2] . In 2002, after moving his family to Hanover, he moved to the local school “ Hannover 96 ”. In 2004 he moved to the Wolfsburg Academy. He made his debut at the adult level in 2010, having played several matches for the Wolfsburg farm club in the Regional League. In the summer of 2011 on a loan basis he moved to Augsburg . On August 6, 2011 he made his debut for the team in the Bundesliga in a match with Freiburg , in which he replaced in the 69th minute instead of Marcel Njeng . The next season was again leased, this time to the club of the Second Bundesliga “ St. Pauli ”, for which he played 23 matches and scored 1 goal. On July 16, 2013, the player left Wolfsburg and signed a contract with the Gallescher Third Bundesliga club, where he spent 2 seasons. In the summer of 2015 he moved to the English club Brentford . In the season 2015/2016 he played 13 matches for the team in the Championship , but in August 2016 he transferred on loan to the Dynamo Dresden. After the end of the 2016/2017 season, Gogia signed a full-fledged contract with Dynamo [3] , but the very next day he was bought out by the Union Berlin club [4] .

Team Career

Being a Wolfsburg player was invited to the German youth teams. In 2015, information appeared that the Georgian Football Federation had contacted the player and his family about playing for the Georgian national team [5] , but as of 2018, the player had never been invited to the team.
