Story

The track of the old Springfield monorail turns into Sky Line Park. At the official opening, the mayor of Quimby turns on the electricity, which accidentally activates the monorail train and destroys the boardwalk, breaks down and crashes into the memorial statue of Leonard Nimoy . During a city catastrophe meeting, Mayor Quimby dismisses Marge's suggestions with sexist remarks. After that, her family gives her the idea to fight him in the Springfield mayoral election. After the initial downturn in opinion polls, during the candidates 'debate, Marge finally promises to put out the burning tires from the landfill, which raises voters' support and, ultimately, she wins it in the elections.

However, when bulldozers arrive at the tire fire, Marge feels sympathy for the dump site's souvenir shop operator, who chained himself to the gate in protest. Because of this, she is accused of breaking her promise. Later, Marge and her support team (consisting of Lindsay Negl , Professor Frink and Julio ) return with offers to sell a souvenir stand, but she accidentally insults the remaining owner, not knowing that he is a Vietnam war veteran whose best friend died when he stepped on on an anti-personnel mine. This harms her support even more.

In an attempt to get voters back, Marge broadcasts live from the kitchen of the Simpsons House , which is reviewed and evaluated live by her support team and focus group. During this, she punishes Homer's embarrassing antics, making the audience laugh, and her rating began to grow rapidly. As a result, she continues to publicly make Homer the object of her jokes, which receives a sandwich named after him and her own balloon in Thanksgiving, which “farts” confetti.

When she sees Homer turned into a laughing stock, she visits Quimby at his house to ask if it is possible to be a good leader and have a family life, which he tells her that it is not, and thanks her for his return to family life . When baptizing the next sewer manhole cover, Marge breaks the script that Lindsay gives her and starts talking about her love for Homer. The crowd leaves, muttering in disappointment that they have not heard jokes.

In the final scene, eight years later, Marge and Homer walks through a library dedicated to her political career. Marge suggests skipping the next room, but Homer points out that they need to go through it to get to the buffet. When they pass, it turns out that she was impeached , and Quimby was reinstated as mayor of Springfield.
