Description
Beetle is 12-18 mm long. Body color is black, without metallic luster. Upper body matte, bottom - shiny. Elytra with a pattern of small bright spots.
The body is small, slightly elongated, almost not narrowed posteriorly, convex. Clypeus elevated in front, with a deep groove in the middle. The head is covered with very thick large points. Pronotum convex, strongly constricted in the anterior part, covered with dense, large, wrinkled, points. Scutellum in very dense large points. Elytra covered with sparse simple and arcuate points. Suture gap is flat, separated from the outside by a series of small arcuate points. The surface of the elytra is tuberous or wavy, sometimes almost smooth, covered in a matte black coating. In the grooves between the tubercles of the elytra are numerous yellow-gray specks, forming a very thick pattern, sometimes missing. Pygidium slightly convex, with rare or small specks or without them [1] .

Biology
Beetles are active from late April to mid-July. In the mass occur in May. There are not often [1] .
