Geography
Located on the right bank of the Voronezh River.
History
It arose in the first quarter of the XVII century . It was then one of the possessions of the tsar's relative I.N. Romanov (see the village of Lenino ). Mentioned in documents 1627 - 1628 years .
Name - by location under the mountain.
In 1855, the stone church of Paraskeva Fridays was built in the village. [2]
In 1965, the first phase of the Podgorensky brick factory was opened [3] .
In the late 1980s , part of the village was transferred to the city of Lipetsk (see "Podgorny" ).
Population
According to metric books for 1835, the families of the Proskurins, Popadins, Roldugins, Negrobovs, Chukanovs, Gunkins, Shubins, Azarnins, and Kozlovs lived in the village.
Transport
In Podgorny (in the part of the village related to Lipetsk ), the final stop is the Lipetsk city bus number 37k, which runs along Podgorenskaya street . Buses of suburban routes No. 102, 103, 402 also go through the village.
