Austrian-Georgian relations are bilateral diplomatic relations between Austria and Georgia . The countries established diplomatic relations in 1992, Georgia opened its embassy in Vienna in 1996 [1] . Georgia also has an honorary consulate in Graz. Austria is represented in Georgia through a non-resident based in Vienna and through an honorary consulate in Tbilisi .

History
At the end of World War I, Austria-Hungary, together with other central powers , was one of the first to recognize the independence of the Georgian Democratic Republic in 1918 [2] . The first ambassador of Austria-Hungary to Georgia was Georg von und zu Frankenstein [3] .
During the war in South Ossetia in 2008, Austrian Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik called on Russia to “respect the territorial integrity of Georgia, taking into account the UN resolution” [4] . She also said that Russia's military intervention seriously undermined its credibility as a reliable partner of the West [5] .

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of the Interior of Georgia and the Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Austria
- Air Transport Agreement between the Austrian Federal Government and the Government of Georgia
- Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Republic of Austria on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments
- Agreement between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Republic of Austria on the avoidance of double taxation
- Protocol Amending the Air Transport Agreement The Austrian Federal Government and the Government of Georgia
