Sven-Ingvars is a Swedish pop-rock band from the town of Slottsbrun , Sweden. [1] The group was founded in 1956 by drummer Sven Svärd ( Swede. Sven Svärd ), Ingvar Karlsson ( Swede. Ingvar Karlsson ) (guitar and accordion) and Sven-Erik Magnusson ( Swede. Sven-Erik Magnusson ) (vocal, guitar, clarinet). Later, the group was joined first by Rune Bergman on bass guitar, and then Sven-Olof Petersson on tenor and baritone saxophone. The band recorded their first EP as a quartet in the early 1960s (“Guitar Boogie”). In the mid-1960s, the band gained popularity in Sweden with such hits as “Te 'dans me' Karlstatösera”, “Ett litet rött paket”, “Fröken Fräken”, “Börja om från början”, “Säj inte nej, säj kanske, kanske, kanske ”,“ Vid din sida ”,“ Önskebrunnen ”and many others. They were so popular that in 1963 they performed at the opening of The Beatles concert. [2]

Today, Ingvar Karlsson is the only musician from the original line-up who has been playing in it since 1956. Since the 1970s, the group has often been attributed to the dansband genre. In 1990, Sven-Ingvars received the Grammis Award for Best Dansband of the Year. In 2005, the group was also awarded “Grammis” - “Special Jury Prize”.
Former group member Sven-Eric Magnusson died on March 22, 2017 from cancer. [3] Since then, his son, Oscar Magnusson, has been performing as a vocalist with the band.

Collaboration
- The band recorded the song “Ge allt du kan”, written by Swedish musician Per Gesle . Later, Gessle performed it on his own solo album “ En vacker dag ” (2017).
- July 29, 2018 at the concert of the group in the amphitheater “Dalhalla” ( English ) in Sweden, among the honored guests who performed with Sven-Ingvars were the Swedish singers Helena Yusefsson and Sabina Dumba . As part of this tour, for the first time the band will perform the song “Du och jag” (You and Me) recorded in Skåne at the studio of Christopher Lundquist , the producer of the group Roxette .
