The Monument to Alexey Kostyakov is a monument to the scientist- ameliorator , corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR , academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences Alexey Kostyakov . Established in 1975 in front of the Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering [1] . The authors of the project were sculptor Nikolay Nikoghosyan and architect Nikolay Sukoyan [2] [3] [4] . In 2007, the monument was taken under state protection [5] [6] . In 2014–2015 [7] [8] the memorial was restored [9] [10] [11] .

The lap sculpture of granite depicts a scientist who leaned his hands on the chair. His gaze is fixed straight. The statue is placed on a rectangular pedestal with a socle base and a dedicatory inscription: " Alexey Nikolaevich Kostyakov " [3] [12] [13] .
