Astrakhan agglomeration - a monocentric urban agglomeration in the territory of the Astrakhan region . The core of the agglomeration is the city of Astrakhan , it also includes the cities of Kamyzyak and Narimanov , the entire territory of the Volga region , parts of the Volodarsky , Ikryaninsky , Kamyzyaksky , Krasnoyarsk and Narimanov districts of the region [3] . In the broadest sense, it can include the territory of all the above-mentioned areas as a whole, with this approach, the total population of the agglomeration exceeds 800 thousand people [4] .

Transport
All settlements of the agglomeration are connected with its center by roads, several of which operate ferry crossings. On the territory of the Astrakhan agglomeration, city, suburban and intercity bus routes operate. The Volgogradtransprigorod company provides suburban rail transportation in the territory of Astrakhan, as well as the Krasnoyarsk, Limansk, Narimanov and Volga regions of the region [11] .
