Waterfalls of Azerbaijan are waterfalls located on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main waterfalls are “7 Beauties”, Afurdja , Katekhchay, Takdam, Pazmari, Mamyrly, Galabin, Kaskad Abdal, Ram-Ram.

Waterfalls of Azerbaijan
7 Beauties
The 7 Beauties waterfall is located near the city of Gabala , 3 km from the village of Vandam. The waterfall consists of 7 cascades of different heights, based on which, and the name "7 Beauties" appeared. Up to the fourth cascade along the waterfall is a ladder [1] [2] [3] .
Ram-frame
Ram-Rama Falls is located in the village of Ilisu, Gakh district . Ram - Rama is the highest waterfall in Azerbaijan . The height reaches 75 meters [4] .
Mamyrly
Mamyrly Falls is located in the village Lekit Gakh district . The name of the waterfall in translation means “Mossy” and is associated with the long-term process of overgrowing of the waterfall with green moss . The waterfall is located at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level. The height of the waterfall itself reaches 15 meters with a width of 30 meters. Since August 5, 2006, by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan , the Mamyrly Falls is the Gakh Natural Monument and is under state protection [5] [6] .
Pazmar
Pazmari Falls is located on the Aichinlyg River, located at an altitude of 3707 meters above sea level, in the Ordubad district of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic . The water of the waterfall includes bicarbonates , calcium and minerals . The height of the waterfall reaches 16 meters. Pazmari Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in Nakhichevan and has high kinetic energy [7] .
Catechchay
Katechchay waterfall is located in the Balakan region . This waterfall is included in 10 waterfalls located in the Zakatala reserve . The height of the waterfall reaches 20 meters.
According to expert estimates, the waterfall has an energy resource capable of providing electricity for a whole area, while establishing an energy extraction station [8] .
Afurdja
Afurdzha is located on the territory of the Guba region near the village of Afurdzh, on the Velvelichite river. The height of the waterfall reaches 70 meters. Afurdja Falls belongs to the natural monuments of Azerbaijan and is protected by the authorities [9] .
Laza
The name of the waterfall comes from the village of Laza in the Gusar region , on the territory of which it is located. The village is located at an altitude of about 1700 meters above sea level, in the north-east of the mountain range of the Greater Caucasus . In the village of Laza, at the foot of the Shah Yaylag mountain there are about 10 waterfalls [10] .
Takdam
Takdam Falls is located on the territory of Yardimli district . The height of the waterfall reaches 34 meters [11] .
Galabin
The Galabin waterfall is located on the peak of the Talish mountains in the village of Lerik region with the same name. The waterfall is located at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level, and has a height of 65-70 meters [12] .
Cascade Abdal
On the eponymous river Abdal, which flows through the Tovuz district , is a cascade of waterfalls Abdal. The cascade of waterfalls Abdal includes 8 waterfalls of different heights. The main two waterfalls have a height of 20 and 15 meters. Officially, each individual waterfall is not named, however, the discoverer of the waterfalls called the first waterfall in the cascade Jalaladin, and the last Soltan. The waterfall, by decision of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan , is a Natural Monument [13] .
