Biography
He graduated from the Department of Early Music of the Paris Conservatory . In 2004 he received the French award “ Victoire de la Music ” in the nomination “Discovery of the Year”, in 2007 he repeated his success in the main nomination “Singer of the Year”. In 2003 , he played one of the main roles in the production and recording of Georg Friedrich Handel 's opera Agrippina . Along with Handel, in his work pays much attention to Antonio Vivaldi . He performs the music of various "forgotten" composers: Antonio Caldara , Johann Christian Bach , Nikola Porpora .
Zharuski collaborated a lot with the Mateus Chamber Ensemble of Jean Christophe Spinozi , as well as with the L'Arpeggiata Ensemble of Christina Pluhar .
According to family legend, the surname Jaroussky appeared when the singer’s grandfather emigrated from revolutionary Russia and called himself “I am Russian” when crossing the border [1] [2] .

On the occasion of the singer’s Moscow tour in April 2006, a Russian observer noted:
This singer is only gaining momentum in terms of career, a violinist by education, he came to vocals unexpectedly for everyone and himself. He came, sang and won. Philip Jaruschi sings wonderfully. A pleasant addition to musical talent is his appearance as a journalist handsome and fantastic charm, which is usually called the devil for several years of the singer’s career [4] .
The Russian composer Leonid Desyatnikov also gives high marks to the skill of Zharuski [5] .
