Biography
Born July 4, 1952 in the city of Pinsk, Brest region of the Belorussian SSR [1] . After graduating from the ten grades of school No. 1 in 1969, the following year she entered the philological faculty of Belarusian State University , which she graduated with honors in 1975. Then there was a postgraduate study at the Department of Russian Literature of BSU (1975-1978), where later she worked first as a teacher of Russian language and literature, and then as an assistant professor . She also taught at the universities of Santiago de Cuba (1982-1983), Jena , Poznan , Brno (1989-1991). Since 1983, a member of the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature [2] .
In 1980, at the MV Lomonosov Moscow State University, Galina Lvovna defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of sciences (topic “Russian Soviet Tale of the 60s – 70s (Dramatization of the genre)”), and in 1999 a doctoral dissertation on the topic “The Dynamics of Style Trends in Russian Prose of the Second Half of the 1980s and the Beginning of the 90s”. The abstract of the dissertation was noted by the Expert Commission as exemplary and published in the Bulletin of the Higher Attestation Commission. Since 2000, G. L. Nefagina - Professor and Head of the Department of Russian Literature of BSU [1] .
Since 2006, Galina Lvovna has been working as an ordinary professor and head of the department of Russian literary studies at the Institute of Neophilology of the Pomeranian Academy ( Slupsk , Poland ). Since that time, she has become known not only as a prominent scholar-philologist, but also as a public figure and organizer of international events that contribute to the convergence of various Slavic cultures. On her initiative and with her direct participation, the Center for Russian Culture and Language was created, an exchange of Polish and Belarusian students between the Pomeranian Academy and the Belarusian State University was organized. The conference “East - West: dialogue of cultures” and the festival of Russian writers “Return to Russia in poetry and prose” organized by Professor G. Nefagina were held at a high scientific level [3] .
Another area of activity of Professor G. L. Nefagina is scientific and publishing activity. She was a member of the editorial board of the journal “Russian Language and Literature” ( Minsk , 2000), for several years she had been conducting a program on Russian literature for applicants on Belarusian television . He is a member of the publishing council of the W kregu problemów emigracji series of the publishing house MADO Toruń (Poland), is the chief editor of the journal Polilog neofilologiczny of the Institute of Neophilology of the Pomeranian Academy (Poland), and a member of the dissertation council at the Baltic Federal Russian University named after I. Kant ( Kaliningrad , Russia ) , member of the Board of Trustees of the U. Druzhnikov Foundation (USA) [2] [3] .
Scientific activity
Research interests: Russian literature of transitional periods (XIX - XX centuries, XX - XXI centuries), postmodernism , culture of Russian emigration [1] . She also studied Polish and Belarusian literature of the 20th century [3] .
In the literary field, G. L. Nefagina made her debut as a poet in 1967, when her poems were published in the Belarusian youth newspaper “ Banner of Youth ” [2] . Published regularly since 1974 [1] . The author of more than 15 books, study guides and more than 200 scientific publications. The textbook “Russian prose of the second half of the 80s - beginning of the 90s of the 20th century” (1996) was recognized as the winner in an open competition, which was conducted by the Program “Renewal of humanitarian education in Belarus”. This was the first scientific work in literary criticism, which systematized the styles and directions in Russian literature of the post-perestroika period. She became a scientific bestseller and gained recognition among literary scholars from Russia , Lithuania , Poland, the Czech Republic , Slovakia , Great Britain , Germany , and the USA . The book was reprinted in Moscow , and later translated into Chinese [4] .
The works of G. L. Nefagina were highly appreciated by the Slavists of Harvard University. Her name was entered in 2002 in the bibliographic guide “500 great minds of the early 21-st century” ) [4] . The study guide “Russian Literature for University Entrants” and “Tests and Tests” are used in preparatory courses in schools and gymnasiums in Belarus.
