Andrei Borisovich Arbuzov (born June 30, 1967, Protvino ) is a Russian theoretical physicist , an expert in the field of quantum field theory , high-energy physics , elementary particle physics . Head of Sector No. 5, Laboratory of Theoretical Physics named after N.N. Bogolyubov, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR). Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences (2011), professor of RAS (2016) [1] [2] .

Biography
Andrei Borisovich Arbuzov was born in Protvino on June 30, 1967 . Father - theoretical physicist Boris Andreevich Arbuzov .
Education
- 1984 - graduated from high school and entered the physics department of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov .
- 1992 - graduated with honors from the Physics Department of Moscow State University (Department of Quantum Statistics and Field Theory ) [3] .
Scientific degree
- 2011 - at the INR RAS defended a thesis for the degree of Doctor of Physics and Mathematics . The topic is “The leader and the leader following the logarithmic approximation in QED ”, the specialty is “Theoretical Physics” [4] .
- 1996 - at JINR, under the scientific supervision of E. A. Kuraev, he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences . The topic is “Effects of radiation corrections in beta decay of pions and electron-positron collisions at high energies”, specialty is “ theoretical physics ” [5] .

Scientific interests, achievements
The sphere of professional interests of A. B. Arbuzov is quantum field theory , the phenomenology of high energy physics , the standard model of elementary particle physics , radiation corrections, cosmology , quantum gravity .
With his participation, highly accurate methods for describing the interactions of elementary particles were developed. A radiation return method has been proposed and justified, which allows efficient energy scanning of process cross sections at electron-positron colliders . The results were used to analyze the data of many experiments, including HERA , VEPP-2M and VEPP-2000 , LEP and LHC [1] .
