History and Attractions
From 1791 to January 20, 1858, the 6th Street of the Petrograd Side was called [1] . It got its modern name in 1858 along with other nearby streets, named after the cities of the St. Petersburg province
Kolpinskaya St., 1 / Bolshoi pr. P. S. 42. Mansion of A. M. Vasiliev (view from Bolshoi Prospect)
- Kolpinskaya, 1 (main facade - Bolshoy Prospekt Petrogradskaya side , house 42 architectural monument (newly identified object) [2] ) - the former mansion of A. M. Vasiliev. Andrei Makarovich Vasiliev was the vowel (deputy) of the City Duma and the chairman of a number of charitable institutions, in particular the charity society of parishioners of the Matthia Church , owned several houses on the Petersburg side [3] . The mansion was built in 1878 - 1879 according to the project of architect V. G. Shalamov ; the inner part was rebuilt to cinema "Trocadero" in 1915 - 1916 according to the project of V.V. Shaub . In the 1950s and 1960s, the building housed the House of Pioneers of the Zhdanovsky District, and then a music school (now a humanitarian and musical gymnasium). On the ground floor there was a store of colonial goods of the Brotherhood Eliseev Partnership, and in Soviet times a fish store [4] .
- Kolpinskaya, 2 / Izhorskaya street , 1 / Bolshoy prospekt , 38-40: residential building, built in 1912 according to the project of D. A. Kryzhanovsky . The architecture of this house clearly expressed the features of the Art Nouveau style : the active use of tiles, a combination of various shapes and planes in color and texture, rustication , uniformly filling the planes of the upper floors of the facade . The decoration used an abstract ornament in the form of triangles. The beveled corner is decorated with pilasters of the Corinthian order with flutes . The facade is richly decorated with floral elements .
House 3 - apartment building A. M. Vasiliev
- House 3 architectural monument (historical and cultural monument of local importance) - a tenement house, built in 1888 by order of the provincial secretary A.M. Vasiliev according to the project of architect A.V. Ivanov in an eclectic style, with rusticated window frames and a large portal with pilasters [5 ] . In sq. 16 of this house was the family of Professor N. M. Knipovich . In 1905-1906 The Knipovichi provided room for V. I. Lenin in it, and meetings of the RSDLP were held here, including during the days of the preparation of the Fourth (“Unifying”) Congress . In 1960, a memorial plaque was installed on the house (architect M.F. Egorov).
