Christopher John Pethick , born February 22, 1942, is a British theoretical physicist. Emeritus Professor of the (NORDITA) and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign [2] , director of the first in 1989–1994. Member of the American Philosophical Society (2016), foreign member of the Danish Royal Academy of Sciences (1977) and the Royal Norwegian Society of Science and Literature (2003). Awarded the Lars Onsager Awards (2008) and the (2011) of the American Physical Society, as well as (2015) [3] .

Biography
He graduated from Oxford University (Bachelor, 1962).
