About the album
The disc was recorded in a big hurry for 6 months in 7 different studios. Unlike the first album, the style of The Return of the Space Cowboy contains elements of many musical styles, including jazz fusion and neo-psychedelia . According to the soloist and songwriter Jay Kay , in many ways the inspiration for writing the material was drugs, which are directly or metaphorically mentioned in many songs of the album [1] . In particular, the main single “Space Cowboy” is about marijuana, in connection with which the video clip for this song was banned in the USA .
