Mikhail Isaevich Nemyonov ( January 17 (29), 1880 , Vitebsk - February 3, 1950 , Leningrad ) [1] - Soviet radiologist. M.D. Professor. Doctor of Biological Sciences. Honored Scientist of the RSFSR. Doctor of Medical Sciences. One of the first in Russian radiology, the founder of field radiology, Major General of the medical service. The main works are devoted to the issues of clinical radiology (radiological diagnostics, radiotherapy and radiobiology). Honorary Member of the Italian, Austrian Society of Radiologists and Radiologists.

Biography
Born January 29, 1880 in Vitebsk in the family of the merchant Shai Nisonovich Nemyonov. He graduated from high school. In 1904 he graduated from Berlin University , after which he completed a two-year specialization in radiology in Germany . In 1906 - 1918 he worked in the surgical clinic of the Women's Medical Institute in St. Petersburg (1st Leningrad Medical Institute), where he taught a course in radiology.
In 1918, together with A.F. Ioffe, organized in Petrograd the world's first State Radiological Radiological Institute , which he headed for 30 years. The work of the institute attracted the attention of Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen and played a large role in Soviet radiology and radiology as well as abroad.
In 1919 he founded the journal " Bulletin of Radiology and Radiology ." Since 1939, Nemyonov is the chief radiologist in the Red Army .
Member of the CPSU and CPSU (b) since 1940.
He died in Leningrad on February 3, 1950, and was buried in the Theological Cemetery [1] .
Family
He was married to the doctor Anna Moiseevna Jugenburg (1888, Velizh of the Vitebsk province - 1969). Mikhail Isaevich had two children:
- Leonid (1905-1980), physicist, doctor of technical sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR.
- Hertha (1905-1986), artist, painter, graphic artist. Representative of the Leningrad School of Painting, member of the Circle of Artists .
Brother - Nison Isaevich Nemyonov, a doctor in Liozno .
Scientific activity
The main works of Nemyonov were devoted to the effect of X-rays on the central nervous system, endocrine glands. He was the first to apply the method of conditioned reflexes to study the effect of X-rays on the cerebral cortex. He studied it in the laboratory of I.P. Pavlov.
