The 15th Latvian Curling Championship among mixed teams 2018 was held on May 12 , 13 and 19, 2018 in the city of Riga at the Kērlinga halle arena. [2]

The winner of the championship received the right to represent Latvia as its mixed national team at the 2018 World Cup , which will be held in October 2018 in the city of Kelowna ( Canada ).

The winners of the championship were the SK OB / Regža (MIX) team ( skip Ansis Regge ; 3rd champion title of SK OB (MIX) ; Ansis Regja became the champion among mixed teams for the 3rd time both as a player and as a skip), who won in the final team RKK / Rudzīte (MIX) (skip Elena Rudzite ). The bronze medal was won by the KKR / Vonda (MIX) team (Jānis Vonda skip). [3]

Competition Format
At the first, group stage, the teams play among themselves in a two-round circular system . If the number of victories in two teams is equal, they are ranked among themselves according to the result of a personal meeting, if the number of victories in three or more teams is equal, according to the results of the sum of test shots into the house ( eng. Draw Shot Challenge, DSC [4] , in centimeters; the less value, the higher the place of the team). The two best teams go to the second stage, playoffs , where they play a series of matches up to two victories of one of the teams (maximum three matches).
