Buruev, Vladimir Yakovlevich

Vladimir Yakovlevich Buruev (Yan-Chin-Fan) was born on February 12, 1936 in the village of Baraghan in the Kurumkansky district in a large family of Yan-Chin-Fan and Akulina Yakovlevna Burueva.

In 1954-1959 he studied at the Ulan-Ude College of Music named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (class of Lhasaran Linkhovoin ). He graduated from college with a large solo program, which included arias from operas, romances, Buryat and Russian folk songs.

Since 1959, he performed at the Buryat Opera and Ballet Theater, first as an artist of the choir, and soon became a leading soloist. Created more than 50 opera images. The singer’s chamber repertoire included romances by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Sviridov, and songs by composers of Buryatia. He has toured in many cities of Russia, Mongolia and China. Among his students are such famous soloists of the opera as Bator Budaev, Damba Zandanov, Maxim Radnaev, Togmit Tankhaev. In 1995, left the scene.

He died on April 25, 1999 in Ulan-Ude.
