Biography
Alexander Leshchev was born into a merchant family on August 23 ( September 4 ), 1858 in the city of Shadrinsk in the Shadrinsk district of the Perm province , now a city in the Kurgan region .
He graduated from the Shadrinsk district school in 1872 [1] .
In 1881, tradesman A. A. Leshchev received a certificate for dairy bargaining, for a barn and on a bench in the city of Shadrinsk. His wife, the petty-bourgeois wife A. N. Leshcheva also received a trading ticket.
In 1884 he served as commissary of urban public property.
In 1885, the merchant A. A. Leshchev had a trading house under the firm “Alexander Leshchev and Co”, which traded in grain bread, an annual turnover of 5,000 rubles, “no net profit, losses”. In the house of the merchant A. Leshchev, on Yekaterinburg Street, there was an office of the Loan Fund, “an annual turnover of 20,000 rubles. net profit is unknown, up to about 8,000 rubles., one warehouse of goods, another in Andrianov’s house on Church Lane. ”
From January 1886 to January 1889 he was a trade deputy in the city of Shadrinsk.
Since 1888 - Vowel Shadrinsk City Council, four consecutive terms (16 years). From 1888 to 1890 - Secretary of the Shadrinsk City Council. From 1888 to 1892 - the vowel of the Shadrinsk city government. By 1890, the merchant of the 2nd guild, Alexander Leshchev, with his mother-in-law, merchants, widow Afanasy Zhyryakova, organized the “Trading house under the firm Alexander Leshchev and Afanasyya Zhiryakova”.

Aleksandr Alekseevich Leshchev was selling bread, cereal, tea, sugar, sleeves from his sleeve institution, then a Leshchev-Zhiryakov trading house was formed with edible stalls and an annual turnover of twenty thousand rubles.

Alexander Alekseevich wrote an application to the Shadrinsk Duma on April 27, 1892 [1] :

In the city of Shadrinsk from October 30, 1892, Leshchev was a member of a charity commission for charity of the poor, and in May 1892 the merchant donated 180 rubles to the commission. Since 1895, Alexander Alekseevich became a life honorary trustee of the Kanashsky orphanage and almshouse. From February 23, 1895 the Highest assertion of the Empress A. A. For Alexander Alekseevich Leshchev was the main goal in life - the construction of the railway in Shadrinsk county . In 1893, the merchant Leshchev went to St. Petersburg for a petition before the Government to conduct a railway to the city of Shadrinsk, but the first trip was unsuccessful, the petition was rejected.
At the same time, the Yekaterinburg-Tyumen railway was already built and Siberian merchants went for goods, bypassing the Krestovsky fair, to Nizhny Novgorod, but the Shadrinsky merchants were unprofitable, their incomes decreased.
In 1904, the City Council sent a telegram and the first signature was A. A. Leshcheva, the telegram argued about the need to build the Mishkino-Shadrinsk-Ostrovskaya line, and numerous telegrams were sent by Alexander Alekseevich Leshchev to the head of Perm, to St. Petersburg chairman Exchange Committee A. Ya. Prozorov . The St. Petersburg Railway Commission supported the request of the Shadrinsk Society for connecting the Yekaterinburg - Shadrinsk - Kurgan railways and on August 13, 1903, the Council of Ministers decided to continue the Perm - Ekaterinburg - Kurgan line through Shadrinsk .
The Russian-Japanese war began and the construction of the Sinarskaya-Shadrinsk railway was postponed. Alexander Alekseevich Leshchev goes to St. Petersburg and in October 1905 the merchant Leshchev receives a message [1] :
| ... I have the honor to notify you that the case on the introduction of the Sinarskaya-Shadrinsk railway line was submitted by the Minister of Railways to the Council of Ministers ... and will be scheduled for consideration .... |
In 1910, the chairman of the Council of Ministers, Peter Arkadyevich Stolypin, was returning from Siberia through the Perm Governorate . On September 6, 1910, P. A. Stolypin received a two-person Shadrinsk delegation at the Yekaterinburg station. Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin handed over to the Minister a report shadrintsev and accompanying him with his personal note asking him not to refuse assistance in speeding up the present case, in building a railway.
On October 22, 1910, the draft law “On the approval of the construction cost of railways” was introduced to the State Duma. The village of Sinarskaya - Shadrinsk ”and in 1911 the construction of the road bed began.
Alexander Alekseevich in 1912 wrote to the City Duma [1] :
| At the foot of Shadrinsk, a canvas will soon be laid ... a railroad that the population expected with impatience for almost a quarter of a century, and this is a powerful force ... Our patience will be rewarded a hundredfold. There will be farmers and buyers of goods. Both bread and other agricultural products will come here. |
The city of Shadrinsk on March 25, 1913, met the first steam locomotive, on which Leshchev was with the brigade. According to archival documents, it was known that A. A. Leshchev built the Pokrovskaya Church with his own money (a stadium stands in its place) [2] .
Alexander Alekseevich later wrote [1] :
| Thanks to my work, I made a lot of enemies and lived (...) all my condition, I lost my health. |
Alexander Alekseevich Leshchev died on February 27 ( March 12 ), 1914 , died of a brain paralysis in a hospital in Perm for the mentally ill. For the transport of A. A. Leshchev’s body from Perm to Shadrinsk, the City Council of Shadrinsk allocated 300 rubles. March 3 ( 16 ), 1914 [1] he was buried in a crypt near the walls of the Intercession Church. In Soviet times, the Intercession Church was demolished and the body of A. A. Leshchev was transferred to the Resurrection Cemetery. The burial place of Alexander Alekseevich Leshchev is currently unknown.
On March 3 ( 16 ), 1914 , the Shadrinsk City Duma examined the widow’s request to write off bad debts and cover the Bank’s debt for which her husband, A.A. Leshchev ", because he has no property left. In April 1914, the decision was made: “to refuse the application of Leshcheva.”

Family
Grandfather, Semen Sergeyev Leshchev, a peasant from the Kylasovskaya volost of the Kungur district of the Perm province, moved to the city of Shadrinsk in 1818 and was assigned to the Shadrinsk community. By the time he was married, he had a son, Ivan. In the second marriage, Semyon Leshchev entered October 2 ( 14 ), 1827 , at 36 years old. His wife was “the daughter of the deceased priest of the village of Kanashsky, John Arefyev Anna,” who was 23 years old. In 1864, the tradesman Semyon Sergeev Leshchev was added to the merchant society of the 2nd guild. Merchant Semyon Sergiyev Leshchev died on October 22 ( November 3 ) in 1872 at the age of 90 years. Meshchanskaya widow Anna Ivanova Leshcheva, died on August 28 ( September 9 ), 1880 , 77 years old.
Father, Alexy Semenov Leshchev, was born approx. 1836, married around 1857 to Evdokia (Avdotya) Aleksandrova, 19 years old. The son Alexander was born on August 23 ( September 4 ), 1858 ; On September 30 ( October 12 ), 1860 , the daughter Afanasy, who lived only two months, was born. On May 22 ( June 3 ), 1861 , Alexiy Semenov Leshchev, 25, married the second time to the daughter of Shadrinsky tradesman Yefim Nikiforov Ignatieff Antonina, she was 16 years old. In 1862, their daughter Alexandra was born, in 1863 - Seraphim. On December 14 ( 26 ), 1869 , he became a widow for the second time. The third wife, Pelagia Petrova, on July 27 ( August 8 ), 1872 , their daughter Raisa was born. February 19 ( March 3 ), 1874 , at the age of 38, merchant Alexey Semenov Leshchev died of pneumonia. In 1862 he was a clerk of the 1st class at the merchant Dmitry Trubnikov, in 1867 he had a wooden house, services and a bath on the street. Moscow, valued at 90 rubles. Alexey Leshchev was engaged in social activities: he was a member of the City Council and a candidate member of the city government.
On April 28 ( May 10 ), 1878 , Alexander Aleksiev Leshchev, a Shadrinsky tradesman of 19 years old, married the daughter of Shadrinsky tradesman Nikolai Maximov Khokhlova Alexandra, she was 16 years old. They were born: Evdokia (1882), Alexander ( April 29 ( May 11 ), 1883 ), Anatoly ( February 19 ( March 3 ), 1886 ). On September 28 ( October 10 ), 1887 , Alexandra Nikolaev died from consumption, at the age of 25.
On January 10 ( 22 ), 1888 , the 29-year-old A. A. Leshchev married his second marriage to Alexander Feodorova Zhiryakova. She was born in the family of Shadrinsky merchant's son Theodore Nikolaev Zhiryakov and the legitimate wife of Afanasy Timofeyeva (nee Vagina, sister of Nikolay Timofeev Vagina, who killed his wife). Vagins' old merchant family was very rich. Alexander Alekseevich and Alexandra Feodorova Leshchev had many children: October 26 ( November 7 ), 1888 was born Boris, July 25 ( August 6 ), 1889 - Agniya, in 1890 - Evgenia, 6 ( 18 ) December, 1891 - Tamara, Zinaida , December 27, 1892 ( January 8, 1893 ) - Evdokia, October 17 ( 29 ), 1898 - Margherita.
In 1909, the family of A.A., Leshchev lived: the son Anatoly from the first marriage and four daughters from the second marriage: Zinaida (16 years), Tamara (15 years), Eudoxia (14 years), Margarita (8 years). Alexander Alekseevich and Alexandra Fedorovna loved their children, all children received an education, including music [1] [3] .
