2001 - studio album of American rapper and producer Dr. Dre , released in 1999 . The album also features rappers such as Snoop Dogg , Hittman , Eminem , Xzibit , Nate Dogg and others. This disc is a continuation of the 1992 album - The Chronic , which has become a hip hop classic. In 2001, he entered the Billboard charts in second place. Already in 2000, the album 2001 was awarded six times platinum certification RIAA ^[1] . In the USA, as of July 2008, 7.23 million copies of the album were sold ^[2] .

The album was originally supposed to be called Chronic 2000, but it had to be renamed for 2001 , since in May 1999, Death Row Records released the album Chronic 2000: Still Smokin .
